I think easier would be to start on a very shallow gradient, so the bike naturally rolls continuously at about walking pace. Then once balanced, the feet can be rested on the peddles, leading on to cranking. Edit: Cycling on grass it is much harder to keep the cycle moving than on tarmac of course! But falling off is kinder….

As someone who loves roller coasters, I can understand why people would be scared of them. When I was young I remember when Kings island opened Diamond back. I was scared as hell to go on the ride and even had to do the walk of shame out of the line. XD. Then the next year I decided no matter what I was doing it. I ended up loving it and wished I had done it the year prior instead of backing down. From then on I said no matter what I would ride everything at least once. Over the years of riding many coasters, I have a very small list of rides I refuse to ride again and a lot of them don't even exist anymore. Like Vortex and Mean streak. I actually fractured a rib on Mean Streak at Cedar point. Hurt like hell. F that coaster. I'm glade it's gone.

I just came across this video. I am terrified of heights but I want to ride sooo bad. It looks so fun. I can’t even be on a high balcony without feeling dizzy. I hate it. Especially since I have a RUclips channel and I can’t ride the coasters I show.
